The guard cat


 This is the Old Man...he will be 15 in July.  He is also known as the Court Jester, as my Baby Boy, and also he is a Guard Cat.  He does not like another dog or cat to be in the yard.  If a neighbor's dog gets loose, and he is outside, he will chase it away.  And it does not seem to matter what size they are.

    Sounds like he is still really healthy! Our cat Simba is 15, too.

    We used to have a fearless cat like that on the farm, though it would take no notice of dogs until they came very close, then he would take a well-aimed swipe at their nose.

    A guard cat!!! I like that. We have one of those metal signs that says "warning ...attack cat on duty".

    Bob says he had a guard cat like yours. his name was smokie and he chased any and all big and little dogs off the property, he also was a hunter of small animals that he killed and dragged up to the house, he was an inside/outside cat... your guard cat is very handsome

    I'm not a cat person, but he really is cute, and looks like a gentle one. I love this picture of him sitting next to the pottery. That's nice. Love his white belly.
