I thought when I first snapped the photo that I was getting a house sparrow....now I don't think so. My next thought was Chipping Sparrow? I just really am not sure.
at least you know it is A Sparrow. I only see a small brown speckled bird. and if you told me which sparrow it is, i would forget it as soon as the page closes. senior moments are multiplying
I assumed it was a house sparrow too. We don't see too many of those here but at our former home near San Francisco we had flocks of them. Terrific photo. Sue

To me a sparrow is a sparrow - hard to tell the difference.
