From my son-in-law

Our son-in-law sent me these yesterday.  For all you birders, what kind of hawk is it.

It is banded but I cannot see all that it says.

It was on scaffolding where he works.

  1. Wow! It looks a bit like a Kestril, but I am not certain.

  2. That was nice of our son-in-law. 😊
    I'm afraid I'm not a birder.

  3. A juvenile Peregrine Falcon. It doesn't quite look right, so I suspect that American birds vary a bit from ours.

  4. He looks a bit annoyed that all those strange creatures have invaded his domain.

That looks like a Peregrine Falcon to me... they like to nest on rooftops so if it has fledglings, it will be keeping an eye! What a fab set of shots!!! YAM xx

  10. My best guess is a Peregrine Falcon but not sure. It is wearing a lot of bling.

  11. Wonderful shots from you Son in law.
I don't know my hawks but there seems to be an agreement that this is a falcon.
We do see ones like this out in the fields around our home.
