How intriguing that it built a nest there! It must have been a while that the door was not used. Were you away on vacation? Like the others noted, it looks like it was made part of the wreath when you bought it.
Awwww... Too cute and that nest is so beautifully placed among the flowers. It won't be long before you see some more heads peeking up. Doves are fast growing. Sue

Oh my. I had a robin build a nest in a bush that was right next to my porch. I hated disturbing her every time I went in or out the front door.
