From the back yard

This is one pair of Mallards that roam the neighborhood.  They visit under the neighbor's birdfeeders sometimes.  A day or two after this was taken, three were on the roof.  Then Copper's barking disturbed them, they flew and I have not seen them all day today.

  2. I've only seen mallards on roof-tops a couple of times in my life. The last time was about 35 years ago!

  3. There's something you don't see every day. You captured them well with your camera.

  7. This is just the time of year to see pairs Mallard in odd places as they search out possible nest sites. For some reason best known to themselves they often investigated the narrow strip of grass by my mother's house.
