More fungi

 I love to find mushrooms and lichen, and just all that type of stuff.  I even know where this was taken and that was several years ago.

I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year, and to say that if I go MIA for a while, nothing new is wrong.  I just need a break from things.  And it is hard for me to keep blogging, when it is all from old photos.  Not that I don't like them.  I just wish I could get out to get something new.

Clothes snagger...

 

From the archives...I have had my clothes snagged on barbed wire more times than I can count when I tried to go under, or through two strands of it.

View of the barn...

 Notice the back side is new wood?  I do not know how many times they have had to replace it.  At least twice storms have really damaged it.  It is one of my favorite barns.

  I need to make a list of the barns that are no longer there...right now I can only think of 4, but I know there are more.  Because before when I went over them in my mind, I had forgotten this one!  It was north and east of Cayuga, Indiana.

Growing on a park bench...

 I wish I had examined it closer...I wonder if is actually growing on dirt/etc that is caught in the crack.

I miss these little guys...

 I just love the Dickcissels...they are such a cheerful bird.

Handsome guy

 Any time I get half a chance, I will take photos of chickens.  I especially have always loved roosters.  But any more, I am very happy to find either one.

 This is a new recipe our daughter made for the first time.  It tastes like a big Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.

A little the worse for wear...

 This was taken on Monday of this...even with the snow last week, they are still trying to bloom.

I want to wish everyone Happy Thanksgiving that celebrates it.  We will be watching Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade...our granddaughter is in the Avon Marching Band and they are in the parade this year.

 I was looking through old photos and saw the thumbnail of this and wondered what in the heck it was...opened it up and found this.

The last?

 Every time I think I have seen the last rose, another one or dozen pop up.  Honest to goodness, I thought it was done and out pops more buds and blooms.  I really think that surely this is one of the last.

Another item from the antique shop....

 Someone owns a lot of this stuff...it says it is Fenton Cranberry Opalescent glassware...whatever it is is, I had never seen any before Friday and I do love it.  But I definitely don't need it.

From the past...I loved having sunflowers pop up...these were just a few feet from the dining room window.  Perfect for watching the birds.

 I took this back in the summer, but did not even download it till about 3 or 4 weeks ago.  I have had it in a draft and am just now publishing it.

We always called them buzzards...

When I was a kid we always just called the Turkey Vulture a buzzard.  There were never near as many where I grew up as there is here.

Taken over ten years ago, I don't remember exactly where this was.  I think south and east of Terre Haute, Indiana.

I think I knew the name of this flowers at one time but I have forgotten.  It grows in wet areas, at the edges of strip pit or swamp area.

This was taken a few years ago, but I don't think I have ever published it. Goldfinches can sure get busy when they find something they like.  This was before the land was being farmed.
