This is the first time I have noticed this kind of dragonfly in real life...I have seen them on other's blogs...at least I think I have. I haven't taken time to really check for sure, but the blogs I plan to check out later is
Mary's Faith, Fabric, and Photos and
EG's East Gwillimbury Wow blog...I know they have both had some amazing captures of dragonflies.
This is a great capture of the dragonfly.
ReplyDeleteHe sure blended in with his surroundings didn't he.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
Rose: I have seen a similar one in brown. I get confused there are so many different names.
ReplyDeleteRose, every time I take a photo of a dragonfly I have to look them up to make sure I'm identifying the right one. To make it even more confusing, sometimes the male is a different colour from the females!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever seen a horse fly?
ReplyDeleteI have now seen a dragon fly.
A very colorful, green, dragon fly.
I don't think I've ever noticed how the head of the dragonfly is so similar to a housefly. That makes sense, I guess.
Don't mind me, I'm a little nuts this morning! ;-)
The is so pretty! The translucent wings are fascinating!
