A spot of color....

These leaves are on the cottonwood tree across the street....just a few of its leaves are turning. I notice some of the maple trees over on the next street have more of a start than the cottonwoods. I so enjoy autumn--even if it does mean winter is not far behind.

  1. A nice autumn shot, Rose. I like the golden color and like you, love autumn, but also wonder if we'll have another hard winter like the last one.

  2. We've had cool weather for about a week now -- feels great. But the dogwood trees are starting to turn, so autumn is getting closer.

  3. We have a few leaves turning on some trees but the season is a little later this year than most.

SOOO, this is what cottonwood leaves look like. I don't think I've even taken such a close look at them before.
