I stopped to take a photo of the above flower, and while down on my knees, the little butterfly appeared and let me snap a photo of it.
If only they would all be so willing to pose for me! I hope it is the first of many butterfly photos for me, but I don't usually get very many.
I cannot help but shoot sunsets...and the thing about that is you can get a dozen good shots all in one shoot. Each one different than the one before. This is one from March....
Running into my shots looking down the road almost always brings to mind the lines:
This barn is as huge in real life as it looks in the picture. It would probably cost a small fortune to repair, but wouldn't it be wonderful if the next time we went that way it would have even just a new roof?
I had just taken this photo a few minutes earlier, when I noticed the tractor in the sunset shown here.
This was sitting out in the yard of this house...I wonder if they come out here and sit to look back and see what they have accomplished, or maybe to plan what they are going to do next.
As I was leaving the library, I took just a few seconds to snap this shot of a nearby church. It is the doors to the St. Joseph University Parish. I don't know how many times I have left the library and not had time to swing by or else if I had time I did not have my camera.
I never know where I am going to be or what I am going to be doing, but thought since I am here I would post this for Skywatch Friday... I used to have more time and had so much fun participating. the church as a whole. Roger noticed that the roof is late.
Isn't this church a real beauty? I looked for something with a date on it but did not see it. It may have been therebut I could not see it. We are not sure it is even still in use, but it sure is a beauty. I would love to see the stained glass windows when the church is lit from within and it is night.
We stopped in Williamsport and I got a chance to take a picture of the Presbyterian Church..

This house was in Attica, Indiana...
I couldn't decide on just one photo,
So am posting three views hoping to give you a feel for it.
I am sitting here with laptop in lap trying to type...with a cat sleeping on me as well. No easy task. This is from over in Illinois...taken around 8:14 Indiana time. Illinois is an hour slower than us.
I love dogwoods, but only have this one in my yard...it was injured when it was young. It is amazing that it still lives. For several years after the injury the flowers would start out completely white, even though it is a pink dogwood. Each year since there has been less and less white...this may be completely normal now.
And who can resist lilacs....can you smell this one???? It was actually so windy today that I could not smell it when I walked out, but normally I can walk outside and just be enveloped by the smell.
A classic what not to do...having the skyline right in the middle of the photograph. I still like the lighting and thought I would share it because I purposely took it with my shadow showing.
This is from our drive up to Covington a couple weeks ago...I did not know whether to post it or not.
For some reason, this is one of those places that my photos just does not do justice to...
but I am showing it anyway.
This photo will enlarge a bit more if you click it...notice the sunlight hitting the side of the silo...ever so faintly. I really like that.
It won't be long until these are gone and everything is green again!
I think they are trumpet vine seedpods....I don't know of any other vine around here that has seedpods at all. yet these seem a bit longer and skinnier than I remember them, so if you think they are something else, feel free to tell me.
