Presbyterian Church in Williamsport, Indiana cont.

Just a couple or three more views...
before I show you
the church as a whole. Roger noticed that the roof is late.
Isn't this church a real beauty? I looked for something with a date on it but did not see it. It may have been therebut I could not see it. We are not sure it is even still in use, but it sure is a beauty. I would love to see the stained glass windows when the church is lit from within and it is night.

  1. Yes --it is a pretty church, Rose.... Looks like it needs some work though... Wonder if it would qualify to be a historical landmark???? The little church in St. Augustine, FL where my brother used to attend qualified --and they were given govt. money to renovate.

    Thanks for sharing.

  2. The church is pretty Rose. Betsy's right it does need a bit of work but maybe that's what's making it so pretty.

  3. A fine series of showing us this beautiful church. I love that tall steeple and the steep rake of the slate roof.

  4. Thanks for these additional views of this pretty church. It's interesting that the door from the sidewalk is in the base of the steeple.

  6. It is a great-looking church but in need of repair, as Betsy said.

  7. In some ways, I find this a bit unusual...the doorway and spire, for example. I can't recall seeing that particular configuration before...

Though worn, it still has a certain grace about it. Nicely photographed, too!
