I ran across this the other day...it is one I scanned in from a slide. Velvia slide film I would bet. I loved that stuff...it always gave the picture a warm glow and seemed more real to life to me. I am not sure what year this was taken in, nor even where it was taken, but I think in Parke County here in Indiana.
I am done hoping that we have an extended fall this year...I can never get enough of autumn days. Even with the bit of sadness that comes with them...the knowing that a lot of things are at end...there is such beauty to be found at that time. And it seems to me that there is a certain slowness to time in autumn.
It's a WOW photo, Rose. The texture is wonderful. The trees look like velvet.
ReplyDeleteGadzooks! Beautiful. There is nothing like Fuji Velvia. I still use it sometimes. Many professional photographers use it for landscapes they sell...such as those who work for National Geographic. This shot could be in National Geographic!
ReplyDeleteI love Fall too, Rose, and that picture is perfect...
ReplyDeleteWith all of the hot and humid weather we are having, I'm yearning for FALL.
Hugs,
Betsy
What a gorgeous autumn shot! Love those rich colors and the tree trunks too. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteI want to be walking there! Gorgeous color, and I love the old barn in the background, tall grass in the foreground.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you posted this. I'm slowly scanning my slides and every once in a while I find a picture which I think is really good.
