A fine, nostalgic picture of the days when horses were the prime source of power on the farm. The length of the entire assembly would make turning at the end of a windrow very difficult. Nice shot.
Rose, that is a really, really, really neat pictures. I wouldn't mind having that on my wall. However, it does remind of when I was a kid and would put up hay and my arms would get so tired that they would cramp if I bent them.
Great shot! Just the way my relatives used to do it before tractors. By the time I came along to ride the hay wagon, there was a tractor instead of horses, but the baling part is the same. Have you tried this shot in sepia...that might look neat, too.

This is a wonderful photo. In sepia it would look very old.
