I don't think they are quite through with this building...notice the awning has paint on it. I have a feeling that it will receive its on makeover before this building is considered finished. It is also located in Newport, in Vermillion County--across from the courthouse.
There are lots of nice buildings "across from the courthouse" :-)
ReplyDeleteI really like how they used the complimentary colors to bring out the different architectural elements.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what business is going in this building.
Nice shot of this distinctive looking building. I like the way they are proceeding.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice paint job.
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to see small towns painting and fixing up buildings and trying to look "new". The brick combination is a bit weird. Do you think there was once another tall building on the right side of the photo joining it? The trim and all seems to look lopsided.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure that at one time there was another tall building next to it...I see that in towns where I KNOW there was one...the one side just doesn't look finished.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see an older building getting some TLC. It looks like a new business may be moving in.
ReplyDeleteI almost missed this one, Rose... That is a fabulous paint job. Thanks for sharing... Looks so neat and clean.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
Must be the thing to do. Our town is currently giving the historical section a "facelift."
