Blue heron

Not the greatest, a little grainy, but for late evening I felt lucky to get this. On my other blog, I posted other pics from the strip pits that I got last night, but forgot this one. So here it is.

  1. This is a wonderful picture. As I said in your other blog, you're getting very good at capturing birds on the fly.

  2. Please don't apologize for this spectacular photo, Rose! It is terrific and I really like the way the sun is shining on the bird turning the "blue" to "almost gold."

Re the reflection shot: You are right, it is a reflection! Sharp eye.

  3. It is lovely - love those pteridactyls (or however you spell that word!)

  4. I don't know Rose...This looks like a great shot to me. He looks like he's just coasting through the air.

  5. I think it looks great and you can tell by the light on it that it is toward evening. I am seldom quick enough for sky shots.

  6. You caught this bird's wing position just right! A bit of grain can't ruin this one! :-) Nice post.
