The Town Hall

Even the Cumberland Gap Town Hall has a quilt block....for some reason of all the quilt buildings I took, for the most part I cannot name the quilt blocks used. Some of them, such as this one, really look familiar but I cannot think for the life of me its name. If you know any of them, please feel free to tell me in your comment.

  2. You've got a good eye to capture this picture of the quilt block. We missed this when we were in Cumberland Gap.

  3. I keep looking wherever I go to see the quilt blocks. Did I tell you the lady who started it all saw my posts and left me a comment? Pretty cool.
I think this pattern is called Indian Trail and the one in the post of the red barn below is called School Girl Puzzle.

  4. This is such a solid looking building with the dark brick construction. The quilt block decoration is so unusual to me...but makes a nice feature for this building.

  7. Most quilt patterns have more than one name. I think it may be geographically variable.
To me this one looks like sun rays.
