I ran out to the strip pits to see if I could see the Great-horned Owl again...no luck there. But I heard dickcissels all over the place. I paused to capture this one as he sang his little heart out.
I have no idea what a dickcissal is other than obviously a bird. Never heard of this. But he/she seems happy and you captured a beautiful moment. I love the moon against the vivid orange with the black landscape setting off the bright color.

ReplyDeleteGreat color! They do love to sit there and sing. Indigo Buntings are another one that seem to like to sit high and sing.
