This barn is quite far off the road...this was probably the best peak we could get of it. It belonged to a farm that had a huge old brick two-story home and a rock fence across the front and one side for a ways. All around were huge old trees. When we passed on by and looked by the there was a rise in the ground that

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the first one, I thought the same thing I thought when I saw it before: I feel like it's saying, "Where did everyone go? How could they leave me here alone?' (I've obviously been working with personification a lot in my poetry classes!)
ReplyDeleteThe second one has a majestic air to it. I bet the farm house and stone walls were awesome! The barn sure is.
The last one is sad. Maybe the farmer wants a new barn and the wife is saying, "Not until this one falls down!" Therefore he's letting it fall apart. (Sorry--I'm extra imaginative this morning.)

ReplyDeleteWow!!!! This last barn picture amazes me!!!! Everything about it, you are a Barn Master!! The way it is, almost looks like someone made computerized mosaics on it! This may be my favorite barn yet!

ReplyDeleteLove the barn photos. The last one does really need some attention. I have learned something through the spring storms here. Insurance pays when storms take parts of the roof, of the barns too. I have had several friends that thought they had no roof damage and when the insurance adjusters came, they not only got new house roofs, but the old barns received new roofs too.
