Elderberries....

This was not the shot I intended to take but where I was at it was what I could grab....and I kind of like it. They are elderberries...they grow wild around here...

  2. I like it too, very much. it has gorgeous light and color. and I love the tendrils on the branches. and I'm thinking - wine! I bet the juice would make a lovely dye too. happy day to you Rose.

  3. Looks like blood vessels with little bumps all through it. I'm glad it is elderberries, though.
My husband used them for taps of our few (6) sugar maple trees.

  4. So this is what elderberries look like! Are those branches red or purple? I guess the berries are most famous for wine, wonder if they are good to eat in pies and other things?

  5. I like this picture as well, I like how the background is blurred and full focus is on the berries.
I've never seen elderberries before or tasted them. Have you drunk elderberry wine - what is it like?

  6. It's a beautiful shot! If you are web writing, this would be an excellent shot to use to convert to a seamless pattern, lighten, and use as a background for a web page.

  7. The branches make a nice framework for the cluster of berries. The light background works very well with the dark berries. I like it too!

  8. Maybe not the shot you intended but this one is lovely! Often the unexpected turn out to be our favorite shots.

  9. I very much like this shot, Rose. I used to make a lot of elderberry jelly...before I found out my husband is a diabetic, that is.
