This was taken the same day as the barns below...in fact, just before we got to them. I like how massive this tree feels...I don't know what the grave is for. I always assume a beloved pet.
wow...neat to have the huge tree and the small well cared for grave. Makes a great shot! Maybe it is an old family graveyard. We have lots of those around here, but not usually just one grave, but a very small number.
Wow, that is a big tree and I love how it seems to protect that grave.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it is a pet. That really is a beautiful big tree.
ReplyDeleteThis shot is great, showing how graceful bare limbs can be.

ReplyDeletewow, that's gorgeous! if i was to be buried, i'd want it to be there...
ReplyDeleteA beautiful big three. Seems like it is protecting the grave, whomever lies there.

ReplyDeleteYour title is so appropriate. The tree has huge branches. It makes a fine near silhouette.
ReplyDeleteThe tree is amazing. I remember studying a poem that began 'Under the spreading chestnut tree ... ' This tree makes a perfect illustration.
ReplyDeleteFor a pet? Perhaps a family cemetery?
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning and unusual picture story, the huge bare, spreading tree with the tiny grave under it!
