This is from some where here in Indiana...just cannot think of where for the life of me. I would have sworn it was from somewhere in Illinois but the photos from around it are from the day I took all those photos of old tools, etc at Patton's corner. We love wrap-around porches....even if it doesn't go all the way around the house. Some is better than none.
love the house and love the porch and love the swing, but if it were mine i would remove that hedge, it detracts from the beautiful house. i love wrap around porches to, my grand mother had one of 3 sides of her house
ReplyDeletei like how they've painted the posts in 'stripes'. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a fine shot of this beautiful and practical home. I like the idea of a big porch, but don't happen to have one where I now live. (bummer)
ReplyDeletelovely old farmhouse.
ReplyDeleteThat porch is so inviting. I agree with another post here, the hedge definitely detracts from the appearance.
ReplyDeleteI agree. There is nothing as friendly as a porch. That one looks pretty comfy.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the intricate work on this house. So glad I caught this on your blog...thanks!
ReplyDeleteLovely house and I agree with Sandra- I'd remove that hedge!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful house! I want to sit there on that swing and watch the world go by while I stitch on a quilt :-)
