A post while I have the chance...

I have meant to use this for a while now...not the greatest shot.  Taken at wrong time of day as we passed through Rockville.  But still, think it shows the beautiful work.  It is kind of funny, I think this is beautiful, but would not want it for myself.

We are home for a couple days at least...Ms. Lorelei is with us.

  2. I like the decorative detail on the stairs. The color contrast between the stairs and the wall works together very well.

  4. Yes, it is very pretty. The colors are very nice, too. I agree, it wouldn't fit into my life either, but I admire it.

  5. That is the most elegant staircase I have ever laid eyes on! If I had a two story house and needed a staircase, I would want to buy that one! Cuz if I had a two story house and needed a staircase, I would be rich and could afford to buy it! Beautiful..thanks for sharing!

  7. This is GLORIOUS!!! I love every single thing about it!! And yes, I WOULD want it!!! I also have an image in my mind of wedding pictures on these steps, wouldn't that be outrageous? Maybe if we snuck over there late at night with a hammer and saw...

  10. I think it's beautiful! I love turquoise color and/or copper/green patina. The stairway looks beautiful with the pinkish brick wall behind it.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend with Lorelei. ;-)

  11. It is really beautiful, but I agree with you, I would not want it for myself. Of course, it would look rather silly with my modern single level home anyway!
