Another bright bloomer...

This hibiscus started blooming the other day....it has three big blooms on it today.  My mom had one like this and it had to grow to 8 ft tall at least...it was way taller than me.

The blooms are wider across than my hand is long...they are huge.

The yellow is beginning to show...

I drove through the strip pits on the way to Paris, Illinois today.  These 'weeds' caught my eye...to me they are just beautiful. 

Cone flowers are blooming!  But this is about the only life I have seen on them...last year we had several butterflies.

The cardinals are regular visitors to the feeders....this is from a couple years ago.

An October beauty in June

This is a barn we found one day after meeting to drop Lorelei off with either her mom and/or dad...and I am just now getting around to showing some views of it.

It is what I call a sharp-dressed barn...all decked out in red with white trim.
