I just adore Cardinals. They are magnificent to look at and their song is so wonderful. The one we had recently has gone away. He came looking for love but found none. I think we went back to town where there are plenty of gals for him.
I saw my first cardinal on my recent trip through the South. Didn't think I'd get so excited over a single bird. Wasn't able to get a nice picture as you did here though.
I had one come and shake his tail feathers in my sprinkler this week...he was quite entertaining to watch!!! I tip-toed inside and got my camera and he stayed long enough for me to capture him!
this guy looks a tad upset with you for taking his photo.. like a cardinal with attitude.
