Tennessee barn

Another Tennessee barn from two or three years ago.  Wouldn't you love to know just how old it is? Notice the vertical boards on the side.  This is one I think is fun to look at in the larger view.

  1. I like the texture of that old wood and the little side shed. the barn looks like it has it's mouth wide open and is winking with one eye closed.

  2. What a great barn. I wonder what the history is. Look at the little picket gate high up on the side piece. Love it. MB

  4. Love today's close-up!!! The first thing I noticed was the boards running different directions. Wonder if there is a reason, or just to make it pretty...

  6. Rose....This barn reminds me of ours. I'll have to take a picture of it for you. Love this shot....so nice and country looking. Hope you are well. It took me 4 months, but I finally replaced by dead laptop. Yep, I have been quilting for 50 years, but now I only make lap quilts. I piece them all by hand and then quit them on the machine. genie

  9. Looks odd for some reason...I guess it seems like it should have an opening at the top or something. Looks old. I think all the boards should run vertical...maybe that is why it looks odd to me.
