I haven't seen one of these critters in a long time. My parents use to live in a house with a creek running through the property and we would watch the Muskrats swimming up and down the creek. One of my cats actually caught and killed a couple of them. We had to dispose of them secretly because it's against the law to kill them without a license to trap a fur bearing animal. How could you explain that your cat was killing them.
Wow!!! You have a new friend! I have never seen a real one before. He looks a bit like a beaver, except for the naked tail.
