Name this insect!

I have not tried to identify it yet myself and I took this over a week ago.  I don't think I have ever seen a bug more beautiful than this one. 

Notice that it's feet seem to be edged with gold...that is how it actually looked.

    Japanese Beetles have green iridescent coloring, but I don't think it is all over like that one.

    What an amazing-looking bug! I have no idea what it is, but my goofy answer would be a shiny green reflecting bug! :-D

    Japanese Beatle and they make Lacework of the leaves on your favorite plants . . . They love Purple Plum leaves!

    It's a Dogbane beetle. It get's it's name from eating Dogbane plants which look exactly like milkweed.

    we have these here and they are pretty. i just call them big beetles. we have little beetles and medium beetles. they fall in the pool all the time...
