Once again, I am going back to April 26, 2011 for my barn photos. One of these days I am going to take the time and see how many different barns I photographed that day.
We will start with this one at the edge of the road. Of course, no place to pull off. And the road so twisted and winding that one is afraid to stop. On the plus side, we at least go at a slower pace on roads like this.
I would love to know how old the old part of the one above is. The barn as a whole, looks to be in good shape.
Another barn that is still standing strong.
If you will expand the view and look in the right end of the barn, there are big piles of tobacco sticks. Someone must have at one time raised a lot of tobacco!
I will leave you with this one...it has a lean to it. I actually wondered if it is a barn or an old house. When I expand the view, though, it is an old barn.

These old barn images are wonderful. Great idea pulling out some photos from the archives.
ReplyDeleteRose, what a wonderful collection of primitive barns, paint wouldn't make them better! I just found a few old survivors yesterday. Thanks for linking up this week and keep them coming. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteSecond one looks very well cared for.
ReplyDeletesome neat ones. really like the 2nd one!
ReplyDeleteWhat Tex said! The second barn is gorgeous, beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteA wide variety of interesting old barns. I hope that at least some of them will be preserved for the future.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos, Rose. Hope you have a nice Monday.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, great barn collection! My favorite are the 2nd and 3rd photos. Happy Monday, have a great new week!
ReplyDeleteYou find some of the best barns of any I have seen on blogs, Rose! Tennessee barns seem to be closer to the road than the ones I see here in Ontario. Or maybe you are using a telephoto lens. ;)
ReplyDeletethese are all amazing finds and i would love to see them. the second one is fantastic, i am thinking those notched logs maybe 100 to 200 years old and were a part of a barn at one time. love it
ReplyDeleteA fine barn series. I like the vertical boards in some of these barns. They look to be in fairly good shape except for the leaning one.
ReplyDeleteWe don't see that much like this around my neck of the woods...of course, I rarely go onto the back country roads. So, this post was a very special treat for viewing.
ReplyDeleteNeat! I like the log wall; looks historic.
