Little red hen
She was out by the road, right close to a sign...a stop sign I think. We did stop for me to take a pic. Isn't she pretty. When I was little, I really liked the story of The Little Red Hen...do you remember it?

A few horses
It's horses...first one looks
Then others ignore me
Finally one looks around
Others were concentrating on eating..
And others were just plain tired..
You could see it in their posture.

For the Barn Collective
I am focusing on one barn that I had the opportunity to actually stop and photograph while up at Shipshewana...
I like these human sized doors...they always hold special appeal for me.
I felt the need to zoom in...
As well as to get a full side view.
Oh, and throwing this in for good measure...it was taken about 2 minutes later than the first barn.
I hope you enjoyed this post...

Dead or alive
Dead or alive...I really don't know.
It was either dead or so cold it couldn't move. I took this today...and it really wasn't that cold.

Loving the color...
I posted a couple more pics of this tree in its entirety over at my other blog. But I just love the feel of this shot with the light coming from behind the tree.

Good Fence time again...
This week, I am showing fences from up in Amish country.
Most were taken while the vehicle was moving...
Do you like all the white fences? I do...but then I like barbed wire fences, and rock fences...
I cannot remember if anyone was living here or not...I know we passed one or two places that were empty, but a new home across the road.
And last but not least this quick snap of a game in progress...
Thanks Theresa for taking the time to keep this meme running.

For the Barn Collective
I am showing a variety of barns...from around the Shipshewana area. I thought this was a fine looking barn.
This looks fine enough to live in. It might need a bit of paint, but other than that it looks so well built.
A big Amish barn...at least, I think it was an Amish farm.
Big and sturdy...
Amish farm for sure...

A beautiful girl...
She was in the parking lot at Shipshewana and people were paying to see her and pet her. Her name was on something there but for the life of me I cannot remember what it was. I know I thought it an odd name for a horse. Isn't she beautiful? She did not seem bothered at all by all the people. I would have like to go pet her, etc. but would have had to wait and I just cannot stand to stand around on pavement or cement.

Good Fences
Taken back in September...Lorelei and her cousin Jackson. They have such a good time together...it is hard to get a straight face out of them when taking pictures sometimes.
Jackson showing how much balance he has.
I am planning on linking to Good Fences...hoping to get in some visits but Lorelei is here and I might be slow getting them in.

Isn't he cute...
Or is it a girl....maybe a girl with the way it has its legs crossed.
And there is more...
I tried to crop the one above to give a better view. All seen in Shipshewana!

From an Indiana country road....
We met this on the way to Shipshewana on Monday...not sure what to title it. It made me think of the line 'when the shark bites with his teeth dear'

Roof art...what more could a person ask for....

As well as this shot...I posted a better pic of it just a few weeks ago.

Hibiscus for Today's Flowers
The photo above was taken just the other day...while the one below was taken back on Sept 6th.
It is the same plant, just different lighting, diffferent times of day. This hibiscus never got over 2 ft tall, if that. But it sure has produced the blooms.
