When we were in Arcola, Illinois the other day, we pulled up to a stop sign and this was across the way.
I took the first two photos while we were at the stop sign.
As we left Arcola, we went back by way of the house, and Roger paused to let me snag a couple shots.
I think it looks like a house any little girl would love!
Ah, telltale paint cans on the front lawn. Must have been a heck of a job!
ReplyDeleteHello Rose, ha ha this old little girl also love this house. Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo quaint & charming! It's good to see the owners are keeping up its appearance & character!
ReplyDeleteA little girl...or Bob Dylan and the Band (if your musical roots go back as far as the "Music From Big Pink" album).
ReplyDeletethis big OLD girl loves this house, i would no choose pink but i like it anyway.
ReplyDeletecute little gingerbread.
ReplyDeleteTimeless photos...wait, there's that satellite dish. Right there on the corner where it is easy prey for pranksters. Weird.
ReplyDeleteI missed the paint cans until someone mentioned---too funny. Lots of frosting on that gingerbread. And melding the past with the present with the addition of the satellite dish :)
ReplyDeleteNice house, but the color is....well no my style.

ReplyDeleteI scrolled backwards on your blog and am so happy that I did. Love this house even though it has many colors on it. I like the style of the architecture. Cool shots!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great BIG doll house. Yes, I'm sure little girls (and big) would love it. :)
ReplyDeleteSweet house. Someone told me once that the olden time houses were painted in these pretty colors but we only see them in black and white photos. So who knows.

Someone certainly took a lot of time and care to meticulously paint that trim so perfectly. It does look like a dolls house :) Very interesting and cute!
ReplyDeleteI love houses with the 'gingerbread' edges! I see some here in New Zealand but not as pretty as this one!
