I am not sure what kind of sees these are....but I know it wasn't milkweed. I took it while we were standing watching the Sandhill Cranes up and Jasper-Pulaski a few weeks ago.
Are you getting updates from the DNR on the crane count? As of December 1, their count was up to 16,470. We haven't been up there yet this season. Also, it seems they are staying north for longer.

ReplyDeleteA fine detailed shot that looks spidery to me. Nice image.
ReplyDeleteI think the seed head is from a wild clematis. Excellent shot!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't think so. A little too exotic for milkweed.
ReplyDeletepretty frizzlehead.
ReplyDeleteIs it a vine? It may be sweet autumn clematis.
