In answer to Joanna's query above: a gaggle of swans a wedge of swans (when they're flying) a bank of swans (at rest on land) a bevy of swans a whiteness of swans a herd of swans (semi-domesticated swans) an eyrar of swans a gargle of swans .....but whatever you call them they're beautiful.
