Coming Straight on for you....Pelican overload...

In advance, I want to tell you to click on them to expand the view...I think they are so much better that way.

I just had to use this above photo first to fit the title...Straight On was the first hit single from Heart....Ann and Nancy Wilson.

Yesterday we went down to Goose Pond near Linton, Indiana.  Ignoring the rain, we hit the jackpot with pelicans...

It was misting rain and getting my camera wet...

These were quite a distance away...

And here are some more of them flying...

I can't stop at just one...

That is it for now though I am apt to publish more later...

  1. Oh I do hope you publish more - those are absolutely fabulous - I wish we had pelicans here - there are pelicans in Seattle but just 90 miles north we have none. I miss them from when we lived in N. California. Love the masses of pelicans you found - and the one landing is unbelievable. I went through all the photos several times - clicking to enlarge them each time.

  5. Now that's a bunch of pelicans whose 'beaks can hold more than the belly can'. Couldn't resist - a saying I learned as a child.
