We were easing through the strip pit area last evening, and I spotted this Sora. I had never heard of them till two or three years ago when I spotted some up at the Heron Viewing Station.
I was so lucky to get these two shots...I got one other but it was a blur.
Sora is beautiful! I would name her Sarah, unless it's male.
ReplyDeleteI thought you were talking about my neighbor Sora, when I saw the title.
ReplyDeleteNice looking waterbird. Never knew of these before.
So, thanks for the introduction, Rose!
Have a Happy Day!

Hello, congrats on the Sora sighting. They are shy birds, very pretty too. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou were indeed lucky to spot this bird and get such good photos too. They are secretive birds and I read somewhere that they are on a "concern" list due to declining numbers.
