Sora sighting...

We were easing through the strip pit area last evening, and I spotted this Sora.  I had never heard of them till two or three years ago when I spotted some up at the Heron Viewing Station.

I was so lucky to get these two shots...I got one other but it was a blur.

  1. Sora is beautiful! I would name her Sarah, unless it's male.

  9. You were indeed lucky to spot this bird and get such good photos too. They are secretive birds and I read somewhere that they are on a "concern" list due to declining numbers.
