Barns on Sunday...

This photo was taken looking east...you can see a version of it here that is taken from the east looking west.
I was on the road that ran past it when I took these.    I have other photos but not going to take the time to hunt them.  It is slowly going downhill.  I wonder how much longer it will be there.
I could only grab a quick shot from this angle.  I like the fencing, too.
Another barn, or maybe I should call it an equipment shed.  Taken at a bit of a distance....

Linking these to Tom's Barn Collective.

  1. These are all wonderful photos, Rose. Such a shame about the first barn in such disrepair. I also love your header picture. Have a good night.

  2. This first barn must have been beautiful!! But most farmers just can't afford to fix up their barns nowadays. I would love to have seen it in it's HAYday (pun intended). I see your beautiful blue heron below! How did I miss that post? I's a wonderful photo, you even captured his flashing eyes.

  4. The first barn's roof is going to cave in anytime now.

  5. Even though it's in sad shape, that first old barn appeals to me. I think it's the colours.

  6. These are very interesting barns. The first one will not last long. The others look to be in good shape. A very successful post.

  9. ...oh Rose, I like the first one, but we best enjoy it while it's standing. What a nice small. red saltbox style barn. I appreciate your visit, I hope to see you again.

  12. Love that first barn - I find it interesting that at one time someone loved it enough to paint it lavender.

  14. All great photos, but I especially like the first barn....it must have really been a beauty when first built. Still has a charm about it. Thanks for your comment on my post.
