For your chicken/rooster collection

At one time I had over 100 chickens displayed in my house...not so many now.

If I still collected, I would for sure love the above rooster..

I have not seen this one before...

I had some that reminded me of these...

all of these were at the one shop in Arthur, Illinois.

  1. So how many do you have now? Are they all out? I have only one, but love him! It is harder to find them than you might think.

  3. Hello, I love the roosters too. I stopped collecting and have downsized or else I would have some roosters sitting around. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

  4. they are really nice and pretty. my mother had the fetish for Frogs, she had hundreds of frogs in her house. I had a collection of Santas at one time but never chickens, the one I like best in your photos is the little hen below your favorite rooster

  5. It seems that you love your roosters the way that I do. When we had our cabin in VA, my grandsons would go through the place counting them. I don't know how many there were...all I know is I boxed them all up when we sold the place and brought several into my kitchen, where they still live today. I may decrease my stash when we move to the farmhouse but I feel certain some of them will be on display there. I may even get real brave and get me a real one to go with the hens I plan to have. I would adopt everyone of these :D

  6. A great concentration on roosters. Why did you stop collecting?

  7. What a delightful selection of roosters. wow, 100 roosters around your house, that's something else. I've been trying to find a white rooster for my kitchen. I am a rooster lover too, Rose. Thanks for sharing these.

  10. I did not know you collected roosters. My grandma had a really big chicken plaque that hung in her kitchen - wish I had it.

  13. OMGosh!! Terry loves chickens and roosters...he's a country boy married to a city girl. We do have a SMALL collection that I have displayed on a shelf in the dining room. He wanted to put roosters by the pond...NO!! We do have a Hippo though. That was my compromise, lol.

  14. I posted a shot of my ceramic rooster just a couple of day ago. It is the second to the left in your first photo.
