I am running a bit late posting....
I don't remember taking photos of this one before but I know I have passed it several times.
And below is another
I may have taken photos of it before but I don't think it was in such a sad state.
And I have photographed this barn before but it has been quite a while.
It is still in fairly good shape...and is really a beautiful barn.
This barn is on the same property as the big barn above it...they belong with the house shown HERE.

And here is a couple views of one barn over the top of the corn...a lot of the corn we seen today was taller than us.

Well, you know that the corn is as high as an elephant's eye. The corn here is still really short. In your first picture, the beautiful sky and trees are the star. I do like the shots with the corn in them, they almost steal the spotlight from the barns!

A very successful series of barns. I like each one for its difference. All are fine shots.

ReplyDeleteNobody can afford to put up a new barn these days--- But apparently no one can afford to maintain the old ones. Lucky for those of us who like to take pictures of them.
ReplyDeleteRose, it's so lovely around your neck of the woods. Oh, those corn stalks are something else. I saw a big field of them when we visited Iowa, and it was so delightful to see rows and rows of corn stalks.

ps...thanks for letting me know that the bird is a killdeer. It's strange cause I see them often right in the middle of the road, like you said. They don't scare easily either. : )
