New barn photos..
I am running a bit late posting....
I don't remember taking photos of this one before but I know I have passed it several times.
And below is another
I may have taken photos of it before but I don't think it was in such a sad state.
And I have photographed this barn before but it has been quite a while.
It is still in fairly good shape...and is really a beautiful barn.
This barn is on the same property as the big barn above it...they belong with the house shown HERE.
And HERE.
And here is a couple views of one barn over the top of the corn...a lot of the corn we seen today was taller than us.
Linking to the Barn Collective....
Well, you know that the corn is as high as an elephant's eye. The corn here is still really short. In your first picture, the beautiful sky and trees are the star. I do like the shots with the corn in them, they almost steal the spotlight from the barns!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the 1st photo, its like a postcard. The corn are so green and healthy! Have a beautiful day!
ReplyDeletewhen the first photo came up my head started playing Country Road, these barns are gorgeous. you win first place as Best Barn Photographer I know
ReplyDeleteAnother nice collection of barns, some rather less well cared for than others.
ReplyDeleteThat strange bit projecting from the gable end: might that have once protected some kind of winch or lifting gear?
Great series of barn photos!
ReplyDeleteI like the one with the bricks, and I love the barn and corn photos!
love seeing the bright blue skies ... the falling down barns are best for picture, or at least i think so. have a great 4th. ( ;
ReplyDeleteThere is something so calming in these photos.
ReplyDeleteHello, beautiful series of barn captures. The last shot is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday, enjoy your day and the new week ahead!
Happy 4th of July!
A very successful series of barns. I like each one for its difference. All are fine shots.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the barn photos, some of them are so large. The corn around here sure is tall, too.
ReplyDelete...Rose, such a great collection of barns. The fourth is the winner for me. Corn is still short here, what with all the rain, but soon barns will start to disappear behind the corn. Thanks for stopping by today, I hope to see you back again.
ReplyDeleteYou found some really old ones. I love the second one best. Carol
ReplyDeleteThe first couple of barn shots it looks like it has one blunked out eye. LOL
ReplyDeleteNice shots though. I guess the era of wooden barns id over

No matter how it looks or in shape, I love barns! Lovely collection here and well shot as well
ReplyDeleteSuch interesting old barns, Rose! Loved the photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of barn pictures but I that first picture is stunning. What beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection, but for me the last one is the best! Greetings from Poland.
ReplyDeleteNobody can afford to put up a new barn these days--- But apparently no one can afford to maintain the old ones. Lucky for those of us who like to take pictures of them.
ReplyDeleteRose, it's so lovely around your neck of the woods. Oh, those corn stalks are something else. I saw a big field of them when we visited Iowa, and it was so delightful to see rows and rows of corn stalks.

ps...thanks for letting me know that the bird is a killdeer. It's strange cause I see them often right in the middle of the road, like you said. They don't scare easily either. : )
Interesting group of barns!
ReplyDeleteBarns with patchwork repairs make for interesting lines (and I like lines!)
ReplyDeleteThese are all very interesting to look at. I'd have my camera out and I'd be snapping away. Hope you have a great week Rose.
ReplyDeleteThe wood weathers so beautifully, but roofs don't last forever.
