We were quite a ways away from them so I really had to zoom in.
This one and the next two photos are of the one on the left that you can see easier.
Note that its tail feathers are white all the way to the tip.
Now the one below is the one that is in the first picture...we just drove around to the other side of the creek so I could get a good view of it...
if you will expand the view you will see some color on the very tips of its tail feathers. For some reason, the photos of this bird was even worse than the others. So I am only showing this one photo of it.
Wow! They are all good pictures, and I have never seen one in the wild. I cannot imagine how excited you were.
ReplyDeleteAn impressive bird. To see eagles in the UK you'd have to travel up to the north of Scotland -and then be lucky! There has been talk of re-introducing them to Norfolk but no action as yet.

ReplyDeletenow that is a cool friend to have. love it!! i think i saw this on FB too. i love your pics. u are so lucky 2 find this eagle. i find them very intimidating to take pics of ...you feel like they are staring at ya. or at least that is the case for me. i always say ... look mr. eagle ...i am only taking your picture. not sure he likes it though. ha. ha!! then i get even silly-er & say something like don't poke my eyes out. please. ha. ha!! just kidding. ( :
