I saw this guy back in September in Terre Haute. Actually I was going down the last street on the west side and spotted him. I quickly pulled off the road into the empty lot, and walked fairly close to him. Or her. It was misting rain...I have worked with the photo a bit to try to improve it. And it is cropped from the original.
...I never make a sighting like this!

ReplyDeleteThey are doing so well here that there are nesting pairs every 5 miles or so along the river near us. They are always amazing!
ReplyDeleteBirds of prey always look so sad on wet days - as indeed they have every right to be since it makes it difficult for most of them to feed. If it produces such fine images as this then tinker and crop to your heart's content!

Eagles have been spotted more and more along the St. Joe River. I have seen one a couple of times, but never perched. Great Picture.
