Photos from my daughter....

First of all, Lorelei found a new baby.  Well, she or her mom.  I did not ask who found it, they both are always looking for creatures.  She did not like leaving it behind.  When she spends nights here in warm weather, we check out back to see if Toadie has come out or not.    It is always a thrill when s/he has.

Now, next, do you see what I see?

She did not find very many, but I would be happy to be out where I could find even one!

  1. The little frog is adorable! I'm guessing this is some kind of tasty mushroom?

  2. Children are so good at finding things like these. Presumably hunter-gatherer societies must be happy to have the little ones with them when foraging.

  3. I like the 2nd find, but not a fan of the first one.

  4. We have lots of little tree frogs who love to make VERY BIG croaks! Love 'em!

  5. That's a fine looking toad.
There is another blogger I follow who cooks up some tasty morel mushrooms every year. He's always thrilled when he finds them

  6. Morels!! Love them. I haven't been hunting mushrooms for a lot of years. I lived in the city too long and then moved to small town Illinois. No acreage. Where we live now I could hunt them (and they are here) but I'm too afraid of meeting up with Mr. Rattlesnake or Mr. Copperhead. Lots of them down here, too. :(

  7. Hello,

Love the cute frog. The mushroom is a great find, I am always looking for that kind of mushroom and have not found any yet. Enjoy your day, have a great new week ahead!

  9. You KNOW I love frogs. The toads are singing in the pond. I don't see eggs yet but I'm sure there will be eggs. My silly dogs chase those toads around the yard. Tyson used to catch them...I know from the foam on his mouth. Our yard is a circus. Those dogs watch the squirrels who are laughing like crazy and stay just out of reach. Our entertainment!

  11. You always find the most interesting things to take photos of, Rose. This frog is tiny and cute. Not sure what the second picture is of, but how peculiar it looks.

    Have a happy week.
