A little country church...

A little country church, I think in Parke County, Indiana, but I am not positive.

  1. I went to an even smaller country church for many years. I can still smell how that basement, where the Sunday School was held, smelled. Sweet fellowship was had in that church.

  7. I can relate to Ruths comment, our church was smaller and not as pretty and clean as this one, and there was a special smell in the basement. this church is really pretty

  8. you can see a lot of little churches like that here in Amish Country. If you happen to drive by on a Sunday morning, not only do you see black buggies, but the parking lot is full of BLACK cars. I don't think I would like to live in dull dark colors.

  10. A very neat and well-maintained building. We have very few wooden churches in the UK.

  13. There is an old church in my town that I sometimes take pictures of. It used to be a Catholic Church, and the Priest was a friend of the family. They now use the church for weddings and receptions. It's over 100 years old, and it still stands. What a sight these old churches must be when you drive through the countryside, Rose.
