I suppose it must be a home, but a very strange one. I have some friends who used to live in a barn conversion - great in summer but it cost a fortune to heat during the winter months.
Judging by the raised heat pump, small satellite dish, deck and large propane tank, I'd guess that it is a wonderful home on the upper level, and perhaps something else below. It doesn't appear to have animals around it. I envy them.
That would be one big house if it has been adaptively reused!! Especially if it's a two-story residence. Seeing the propane tank in the rear, I think you are right. And I love that second level porch/balcony.
It is certainly in fine shape, though tightly closed up. No farmer would lock in his stock like that, but the shuttered windows would imply no current residency.
It is a beautiful barn. Interesting that the windows are so high. It would be nice to know what it is used for. I like the roof and the weathered wood.
It is fancy alright. Too fancy for animals!
