Farm house gone...

We passed  this farm last week.  In this photo I am driving east.  The other day I was coming from the east...so did not realize till we got past the barn that the farm house was gone.  There was a pile of rubble in its place.  My heart just sank...I just so hate that it is gone.

  2. It's sad to see old landmarks disappearing. Maybe the people have moved somewhere warmer.

  7. The farm house looks strong. Was it demolished to make way for a new farm house.

  18. That is so sad. That happened to me a while ago. There was a beautiful barn with a stone foundation that I used to pass once in a while. The last time I went down that road, the barn had been demolished. A piece of our American history is gone.

  19. It is sad to see these places become abandoned. However, a lot of the young have no interest nor the money to pursue farming. I made that same decision decades ago.
