Blackberry blossoms


These were taken back in May...of 2009.

  6. Is really hard to choose between two two because they're both beautiful but after much thought I have decided that I like the second one a tad better and I think that is because it shows more of the plant to the left

  17. Our blackberries (in North Carolina) are already red berries with the first ones turning black. The last week of June is the peak.

    But I remember picking them in Illinois in late July/early August. My grandfather's cousin had a patch in his pasture where you could pick a gallon bucket full in an hour. And my Grandmother made the BEST blackberry pie (from scratch, of course).
