YIKES, I have never seen this. They look like bottle brushes. But they are not the Bottle Brush plant I think.
You do a lot of neat exploring... thank you for sharing it with us. :)
Cuts from grass like this really burn.
Some sort of sedge, I would think, from its appearance and wetland habitat. Wonderfully crisp photographs.
Hari OM...that looks like Carex vesicaria a.k.a. Sedge Grass... YAM xx
This sounds like sawgrass (or saw grass).
Whatever it is the tassles? are quite interesting.
It does look sharp and I would not want to walk through there but it's all so stunningly beautiful. I love those green pods
Oh my! I have never seen any grass with such fruits! Beautiful Rose! You always share us species that we have never ever seen! This one reminds me of the brushes used to scrub baby bottles :) Sending you hugs for this Thursday dear Rose!
Hello,I have not seen grass like that, sounds like it could hurt you! Have a great day!
An eye-catching type of grass with those bracts! Great backlighting captured here.

I have heard about grass like that but have never seen any. It looks interesting. A great close up image.
It looks beautiful but maybe a bit dangerous.
Nicely done. Good work isolating the seed heads.
I took a picture of your picture with the Plant Snap App on my phone and it said it is Longhair Sedge (Carex comosa).
They look like they have self protection. Very rugged.
they hang in photogenic formations
As others have said it is a Sedge also known as Bristly sedge. Botanical name Carex comosa
Welcome to my part of the world...I hope you enjoyed your visit. I love feedback, so appreciate your comments.
