Some kind of grass...


Not sure what this grass is.  The blade would just about cut you if you were to walk through a patch of it with bare legs.


It was up by the swamp we went to last weekend.

  1. YIKES, I have never seen this. They look like bottle brushes. But they are not the Bottle Brush plant I think.

  4. Some sort of sedge, I would think, from its appearance and wetland habitat. Wonderfully crisp photographs.

  9. Oh my! I have never seen any grass with such fruits! Beautiful Rose! You always share us species that we have never ever seen! This one reminds me of the brushes used to scrub baby bottles :) Sending you hugs for this Thursday dear Rose!

  14. I have been cut by grass blades and it hurts. No way would I go near those grass. But the brushes look pretty.

  22. As others have said it is a Sedge also known as Bristly sedge. Botanical name Carex comosa
