I had to try one in monochrome...which is your favorite?
I really cannot say if this is two different dragonflies or the same one. Seems like one will pic a spot it likes to sit and keep returning to that area. So it may be the same in both photos.
Between the first two, my favorite is definitely the first. Because you really captured the shimmer! Love the green eyes. You are The Dragonfly Master. Maybe you should change the name of your blog to this.
Hari OM Both versions are very fine, Rose; but I think on this occasion, the critter is best served by the colour version. If looking at it from the structure and form, the mono is grand! YAM xx
Beautiful captures with great clarity! I love the mosaic patterns in its wings and those big beady eyes. I like the color version better as the B&W version seems to lack depth.
My favorite number one! And I zoomed really close and I could see all the stained-glass looking details in the wings and just amazing. He's a real Beauty all the photos are excellent as always
From an artistic point of view, my preference is for the coloured photo - the monochrome reminds me of my school science book!! They are beautiful insects though :)
Both photos are of great clarity and detail but my favourite is the first as colour adds more to the dragonfly plus the shimmer shows better in colour. Have a nice day Rose and keep well :)
Your photos are amazing. I think the first one is my favorite. I am seeing so many dragonflies here now. It's as though they are going somewhere in a hurry.

I prefer the monochrome verson because the background completes less.
