Teasel

I don't remember exactly where I was when I photographed this a few years ago.  I don't remember ever seeing it before or after.

  9. Awesome clarity in this close-up! I've never seen it blossoming before. I've always seen it as new or dried and withered. Great find!

  10. This is a truly amazing photo! And I don't remember ever seeing this photo before. It's so beautiful was just the purple in places I would love to have seen it with a full bloom and I would love to have seen it when all the purple was gone. And I've never heard the word teasel before I thought you were trying to type teased are teasing and autocorrect took over haha

  14. I always thought it was called thistle. There was so much of it around when I was a kid. I love them. My first tatoo was a teasel with 4 bees buzzing around it. I'll have to try to remember it's real name because it is growing along the walkway next to our new home.

  20. I have never seen a flower like this before. It quite interesting and beautiful. I love the little flowers. I can see that it is protected with tendrils that have little thorns. Very different! A great image.

  21. Oh, that is so unusual. Wouldn't want to handle it though with all those thorns. ; )

    Have a nice weekend, Rose.
