Long gone...

This barn has been gone for several years now.  I know it needed work, but it never seemed like it was that close to coming down.  I don't know if it was torn down, or if storm took it down.  We usually passed it several times in a year.  There was not a trace of it left.

  4. Hmmmm. I like its style & shape tho. and, Rose, forgive me but...just how do you paste a barn? (couldn"t help myself!) Elmers glue did hold it together.

  5. That's kind of sad. You're right, it doesn't look like it's in that bad of shape.

Does the concrete driveway remain? Often with farm buildings, those sorts of foundations are left as a mark of their existence. Sad fact is that the work to maintain would likely have cost more than to throw up a modern one... YAM xx

  7. Hello,

A great old barn. I have watched a show where a group of men go and take down old barn. They are able to re-use some of the wood. Take care, enjoy your day!

  8. I'm glad you took a photo of it before it disappeared. I love old barns and you're right this one looks like it still had some years left.

  9. It is said that it was gone and it does look pretty sturdy so I'm thinking that maybe something blew it down? Or maybe they're going to pave paradise

  12. It does look a little tired, so maybe a wind took it down.

  16. fine old barn - there have been several in my life that I have passed numerous times and told myself to come back with my camera, only to have the structure gone before I got around to it. So be happy you got this shot. It seems to me a little more contrast would be helpful.
