Turkey vulture...

 

This was one of several that was feasting on a dead deer.

  2. Natures cleanup crew... One time I was driving through one of the little towns in the famous Napa Valley of California-- wine country par execellence--and there were about 25 of these guys sitting on the front fence of one home. I have no idea what they were doing there. It would have been a bit disturbing to find them in front of my home! Great picture, Rose.

  13. They are such unattractive birds but this is actually a beautiful picture. The wings are gorgeous and even the face is good looking! It looks like a masked invader!
